• New – visitor id > Kiosk > Barcode Scanning: Added a new option to force all visitors to sign-in and sign-out using barcodes. The new option can be found in ‘File > Options > Kiosk > People > Registered Visitors > Force all Visitors to Sign-In and Sign-Out with Barcodes’.
• New – visitor id > Kiosk > Facial Recognition: Added a facial recognition feature to be able to sign-in and sign-out Staff and Visitors using facial recognition. Please see our knowledgebase article for further information: visitor id Facial Recognition Knowledgebase Article.

Please Note: visitor id now only supports Microsoft SQL Server 2012 SP3 and above. We recommend upgrading to Microsoft SQL Server 2012 SP3 as soon as possible and changing the visitor id database version to 2012 in SQL Server Management Studio.

• New – visitor id > Kiosk > Staff/Visitor Sign-In/Sign-Out > Scan Barcodes: Added the ability to use a physical barcode scanner to scan 1D and 2D barcodes. A fully tested barcode scanner that scans both 1D and 2D barcode scanners is the Zebex Z-8072S barcode scanner.
• New – visitor id > Reception > File > Workstation Settings > General tab: Added ‘Barcode Scanning’ options to choose whether to use a Web Camera or physical Barcode Scanner to scan barcodes on the current workstation.

• New – visitor id > Reception > Options > General > Advanced: Added ‘Automatic Visitor History Purge’ option to delete visitor history older than a certain amount of days.

• New – visitor id > Reception > Parameters > Visitor Types: Added the option ‘Refuse entry if the Visitor fails the Induction check’ for Contractors only in kwiklook Integration mode. This allows Contractors to sign-in successfully without having up-to-date Induction records in kwiklook.

  • Use Local Logo: With this option enabled and a logo uploaded to the workstation, the visitor passes that are printed from this workstation will print this logo instead of the logo setup in ‘File > Options > General > Identification’.
  • Use Local Privacy Policy: With this option enabled and a Privacy Policy added to the workstation, the Kiosk will show this Privacy Policy instead of the Privacy Policy setup in ‘File > Options > Kiosk > Privacy & Conditions’.
• New – visitor id > Reception > Workstation Settings: ‘Kiosk’ tab:
  • Use Local Conditions of Entry: With this option enabled and a Conditions of Entry added to the workstation, the Kiosk will show this Conditions of Entry instead of the Conditions of Entry setup in ‘File > Options > Kiosk > Privacy & Conditions’.
  • Use Local Kiosk Wallpaper: With this option enabled and a wallpaper image uploaded to the workstation, the Kiosk will show this wallpaper image instead of the wallpaper image setup in ‘File > Options > Kiosk > Appearance’.
• New – visitor id > Reception > Workstation Settings > Cloud Sync: Added options to install and manage the visitor id Sync App for Cloud Sync API Version 2.
